Pendants – Heart at your throat

The original idea I had for these pendants was a bird-silhouette in a dusky blue, with an embossed design.

Well, I don’t have a bird-shaped cutter just yet, and I’m still putting together the embossing stamps I’ll need. But I do have a heart-shaped cutter, and I created these little stamps to emboss designs with.

Of course, the stamps didn’t work exactly as I wanted them (mental note, next time make sure they’re completely even and smooth!), but I decided to use them to create an inlaid design of a darker pink instead.

It seemed only fair to make one with a silver bail and one with a gold – and they’re quite pretty, I think!

They’re made using UltraLight clay (mixed with the Sculpey Premo Blush), which means that they are very light wearing for their size, which is about 4cm high (roughly 1 and a half inches).
